Description
The Tootsie Booties are cosy little baby booties with plenty of options for making each pair your own.
The pattern includes three baby sizes, two yarn weights and three basic cuff options, together with additional ideas for putting a twist on the cuffs. There are also bonus baby mitten patterns in both knit and crochet included at the end.
Designed in collaboration with Two Little Rainbows, the booties can be made using their faux suede soles or with a completely crocheted sole.
Skill Level ~
Beginner onwards. Picture and video tutorials are included to guide you through the techniques used.
Method ~
This pattern is written using UK crochet terminology, with US equivalents included in the pattern.
When using faux suede soles, the first round is crocheted through the holes in the sole before continuing with the body of the bootie in rounds. The ribbed cuff option is worked in rows.
When making the completely crocheted version, the booties are worked in rounds, turning between rounds as instructed.

The design is ideal for using up leftover yarn and can be worked in contrasting colours for the sole, body and cuff.
Gauge ~
Gauge is checked by crocheting the sole for your chosen size and yarn weight and comparing it with the measurements given in the pattern.
