Description
The Pumpkin Patch Bonnet is the ultimate autumn knitting pattern, packed with cosy seasonal makes for the whole family.
The main pattern can be made as either a bonnet or beanie, with five sizes from newborn through to adult. But there’s much more tucked inside — you’ll also receive the Little Acorn Bonnet, cable baby mittens, knitted pumpkins in three sizes and three different leaf patterns. Perfect for creating matching autumn sets, gifts and seasonal makes.
Worked in Super Chunky yarn, it’s a satisfyingly quick knit with plenty of opportunities to make it your own.
Skill Level ~
Advanced beginner. Written, picture and video tutorials are included to help you every step of the way.
Method ~
The bonnet begins with the brim worked flat in rows using the English selvedge method. It is then joined for working in the round, with a second colour introduced before the crown decreases.
An I-cord is worked around the finished bonnet and stitches are picked up to create the braids.
Instructions are also included for making a standard beanie instead of the bonnet.
