Description
The Meraki Booties are adorable knitted baby booties designed for chunky yarns, with plenty of options for creating cosy little pairs and matching sets.
The pattern includes three baby sizes, two yarn weights and three different cuff options, plus a bonus baby mitten pattern so you can make a matching set.
Designed in collaboration with Two Little Rainbows, the booties can be made using their faux suede soles or with a completely knitted sole.
Skill Level ~
Adventurous Beginner onwards. Picture and video tutorials are included to help you through the techniques used.
Method ~
When using faux suede soles, a crochet hook is used to pull the yarn through the holes in the sole before the main body of the bootie is knitted seamlessly in the round.
When making the booties without the faux suede soles, the sole section is knitted in rows before continuing with the remainder of the bootie.
You can use your preferred method for working small circumferences in the round, including DPNs, circular needles or magic loop.

Light Super Chunky
Super Chunky
The booties are perfect for using up leftover yarn and can be worked in contrasting colours for the sole, body and cuff.
Needles & Gauge ~
Super Chunky
12 sts × 16 rnds = 10 cm × 10 cm / 4″ × 4″ in stockinette worked in the round on 8 mm / US 11 needles.
6.5 mm / US 10.5 and 8 mm / US 11 needles, or sizes required to obtain gauge.
Light Super Chunky
13.5 sts × 20 rnds = 10 cm × 10 cm / 4″ × 4″ in stockinette worked in the round on 6.5 mm / US 10.5 needles.
4.5 mm / US 7 and 6.5 mm / US 10.5 needles, or sizes required to obtain gauge.
